We’re not sure how many people have seen this tweet.
The employee was clearly not amused.
But this incident was not an isolated one.
Google’s Twitter team recently made an error when they tweeted a tweet to a woman in Germany who was celebrating the birth of her first child.
They mistakenly wrote “You made me happy”, and then sent the woman a reply saying “you made me sad”.
The error was later fixed.
The error, it seems, was in how the Google employee had written the word “you” in the first place.
The first thing the Google account did was delete the offending tweet, and the account was then restored after a couple of hours.
A Twitter spokesperson told TechCrunch: “We don’t comment on employee accounts.”
But it does seem clear that the employee who made the error, @larsbarnes, had been using the Google logo in the tweet.
And we’re not the only ones to be hit with this error.
We have heard of other examples of people who mistakenly tweet “you’re so beautiful” or “i love you”.
