President Donald Trump says his first major legislative win is ending a federal law designed to help those with pre-existing conditions.
The president said Tuesday he wants Congress to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare, and replace it with something better.
Trump has already said he would sign an executive order to do so.
The GOP-controlled Congress is holding a rare legislative session that is meant to set a legislative agenda.
Republicans are also considering a measure that would allow the president to unilaterally waive some of the health care law’s regulations.
